Student Reward Programme
At Sacred Heart we pride ourselves on recognising and celebrating the successes of all our students. Across School, inside and outside the classroom, staff practise a rewards system that provides our students with opportunities to be recognised and praised for their academic achievements, progress, contributions to the School community and behaviour and attendance.
We strongly believe that students should be regularly and fairly rewarded for their achievements, to not only celebrate student’s successes, but to also inspire and motivate young people to achieve their very best and become confident, independent learners. This vision in turn, raises standards and improves behaviour and attendance.
Our school’s mission statement, “live life to the full” (John 10:10), is front and centre of all that we do at Sacred Heart.
Students achieve our mission through:
- Fulfilling their academic potential
- Nurturing their spiritual growth
- Finding their future
In other words, if students flourish academically and spiritually, they will be able to fulfil their hopes, aspirations and vocation.
The Sacred Heart teaching community has already established a culture of high expectations for our students. As a school, we continue to strive for excellence.
Everyday our students can achieve rewards points. Rewards points are awarded for ‘actions’ that are outstanding, that go above and beyond our already high expectations.
Students are awarded them for:
- Fulfilling their Academic Potential
- Nurturing their Spiritual Growth
Points have a cumulative effect; key milestones are rewarded with specific awards and prizes across the year.
