Choosing a secondary schools for you child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make for your child.
Our aim is always to see things through the eyes of a parent, as such; we ensure that you are a significant part of the transition process.
We have developed a seamless process from our Open Evenings to your child walking through our doors for their first day in September. We ensure that we know your child well before they start their journey with us and we continue to get to know your child as they grow and develop into young adults.
What can you expect from the process?
- Primary Visits in Summer Term for Year 5 and Autumn Term for Year 6
- Open Evening in early September
- Open Mornings where you can visit after the Open Evening during a normal working day
- Extended Transition for all pupils with identified SEND
- Senior leaders and pastoral staff will visit your child’s Year 6 teacher and host a one to one with your child and you during the summer term before your child joins us.
- Summer Welcome Event for pupils and parents
- Uniform events in May and June
- Transition days in July
- Y7 Settling Evening in the first Autumn term
