Our Sacred Heart pupils had a fantastic day taking part in a CAFOD leadership training day, exploring how they can become young leaders and make a positive difference in the world. 🌟
The day began with prayer, ...Read morefollowed by a range of engaging activities exploring effective leadership styles, Catholic Social Teaching and the important work of CAFOD.
Pupils also developed their understanding of some of the biggest challenges facing our world today, including food and hunger, access to clean water, climate change, and conflict and displacement. 🌎
Working collaboratively with pupils from other schools, our young leaders shared ideas, developed their teamwork skills and considered how they could turn their learning into meaningful action.
🍽️ Our Sacred Heart pupils have chosen to focus on raising awareness of food and hunger inequality, helping our school community understand why access to food is not equal across the world and what we can do to make a difference.
We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, compassion and commitment to putting their faith into action. We look forward to seeing their ideas come to life back at Sacred Heart! 💛
