There are two options available to the students at Sacred Heart.
Eating school lunch – the catering service at the Academy is provided through our facilities management provider, Robertson Group. Payment for catering is via a biometric system. Funds should be made available to the student’s account in advance by using the online payment system, paypoint, or the cash and cheque collection machines in the Academy. Online payments can be made using Parent Pay. For more information about online payments please contact the school kitchen on 01642 485486.
Students eligible for free school meals receive £2.20 per day. Parents should be aware that this is only an indicative amount as, depending on choice, the cost can be higher or lower. Parents are encouraged to make enquiries regarding eligibility for Free School Meals. Registering will not only help your family but also raise additional funding for the Academy. You can download a copy of the application form below or they are available from the Academy office.
Students can also purchase snacks at other times of the day.
Bringing packed lunch to the Academy – students must remain on the Academy premises during the lunch period. Packed lunches must be eaten in the designated dining areas only.
Going home to lunch – students will be issued with a pass. Parents will be asked to indicate their choice of lunch option at the beginning of the year and changes will only be accepted at the end of a term if the Student Achievement Leader is informed in writing. We strongly disapprove of students buying lunch at the local shops and ask that parents discuss the matter fully with us in advance.
