Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust regrets that it will not be able to offer parental refunds in respect of Home to School transport journeys missed during the Autumn Term, where pupils have been absent from school as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The requirement for pupils to stay away from school under these circumstances was a consequence of national policy and beyond the control of the Trust.  The full cost of transport provision, which is already subsidised by school budgets, was incurred throughout the term and refunding parental contributions would place an additional burden on school budgets, which are already stretched from dealing with the added requirements of operating during the pandemic.

The Trust will however credit any parental contributions made for the current lockdown period against the future cost of transport once schools fully reopen.
